Weekend in Tennessee

Steven and I along with Jen and Eric headed up to Gatlinburg last Thursday to spend the weekend and to go to the Alabama/Tennessee game on Saturday. Since it rained ALL day Friday, we hit the outlets and did some fun shopping while the guys hung out a nearby restaurant and waited on us.

I hated that it rained all day, because I really had my heart set on a trip up to Cades Cove to do some sight seeing...just kidding!

Dinner Friday night at the Smokey Mountain Brewery

We found a great spot to tailgate on Saturday in Knoxville...right next to the river, not too far from the stadium (nevermind the nice little walk/trail we took through the woods to get to there), and right next to a church...where we were able to use their facilities.

Our tailgating friends Amy, Howie and their boys also joined us to tailgate as well as Jen and Eric's friend, Jason.

About to head over to Neyland Stadium

Notice how all of the Vol fans emptied out of the stadium. The Bama fans definitely out numbered the Vol fans by the end of the game.

Looks like a fun time in Gatlinburg. Hate that you missed a trip to Cades Cove--that is my all time favorite place--just ask matt, mom, and dad. I didn't complain one bit when we went.

Isn't that picture just so sweet?? I was behind them and they had no idea I was taking the picture, and started dying laughing when we got to the car.
