Celebrating with the fam

Friday night, I celebrated my birthday with the fam. Kristen was so kind to decorate the dining room for the festivities.

Kristen made me an ice cream cake and it so yummy!!

Blowing out my candles on birthday cake #2

We enjoyed in some Wii Fit after dinner. Kristen was rocking out on the hula hoop.
Me on the other hand, I need to work on my balance...I think that's what the game was trying to tell me when it asked..."do you trip while walking?"

My Birthday

Well another birthday has come and gone...it was rough turning 25 (again).

the beautiful flowers Steven sent me

flowers from my parents too

I went to lunch with a few co-workers and after lunch Margaret surprised me with a birthday cake. It was so good!

Triple Chocolate Cake...not sure what happened to the "y"...never got the full story about that.

When I got home Steven had this balloon waiting for me in the living room.
Does this balloon look familar to anyone?
I told him this was not going to cut it.
He did give me wii fit...which I asked for. I know I've only had it for a few days, but I love it. I just hope I love using it as much a month from now.

Bowling for Kids Sake

This afternoon, several different teams from Colonial joined together and went bowling for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Overall, we ended up raising almost $10,000 for this local charity.

Our team

Not sure what was going on here...

That's right, yours truly, won the second game! I think that is the best game I have bowled...ever! I really surprised myself.

Dinner with friends

Saturday night, we had dinner with Jared, Margaret and Michael at Village Tavern.
It seems that several couples/groups also chose this restaurant as their dining choice before prom. Margaret and I were a little surprised at what girls are wearing to prom these days...WOW! Maybe I'm just getting old and I've been out of high school for too long now...

Speaking of prom....
My mom emailed these pictures to me today...are these not classics?

Junior prom on the left, Senior prom on the right
(no Dad is not wearing the same tux in both pictures)
Also, since there is a cute picture of Michael above that reminds me of the Tuberous Sclerosis Walk that is taking place on April 4th in Birmingham. Thanks to everyone who has donated, it really means so much to me (and the Cox family). For those who have not and would like to, please visit the link below...

Visit to the Bass Pro Shop

Steven and I made our long over due visit to the Bass Pro Shop on Saturday. It was a rainy day and since we hadn't been out there since it opened, we decided to head over that way.
Luckily our visit was during the Fishing Classic that was going on. Take a look at the huge fish that Steven caught! I was so proud of him!
(Shh, don't tell anyone that he hasn't renewed his fishing license)

Snow

I still cannot believe it snowed as much as it did this morning! Why can't it snow on a week day...you know on a day I have to go to work??

Good thing I got my bread and milk while I was at Wal-Mart yesterday.

I was so surprised to see my car completely covered in snow.
