Christmas at the Lake

Well if you've seen my sister's blog, then you will recognize some of the pictures below as well as the blog title (she's super mom, ya know?). Couldn't really come up with anything more creative than that, so there you go...
Here are pictures from our weekend at the lake celebrating Christmas with my Mom's side of the family....all of the family was able to be there. We've had an addition since our last gathering this past summer and we'll have another by next year...and no, not me...Amber & Patrick :)
This little guy was there to great me when Steven and I got there Friday night
Saturday we just happened to be at the right place at the right time and found that Santa would be at the local bank in Arley...so why not stop and get a picture? It has been a while since I've had my picture taken with him.
Isn't he the cutest?

We can always count on the guys to mess up a picture
Ann made these cute goodies, and they were so yummy!
the madness of opening presents with 19 people!

Thanksgiving Week

The Saturday before Thanksgiving, we boarded a plane headed to sunny South Florida.
The next several days, we had a great time hanging out with Steven's family...
Spending some time on the beach and by the pool, and then dinner by the pool at Jerry's hotel.

Doing a little shopping around town...

Wednesday night was our Thanksgiving meal with all of Steven's family.
We ate dinner out by the pool again...definitely something we don't get to do here in Alabama.

The whole gang in the bottom left picture above...

We flew home on Thanksgiving day, and had a few hours at home to chill before we headed over to sister's house. Steven and I were glad to be able to join them for dinner, even though they had eaten lunch only a few hours before with some friends.

Saturday was the Iron Bowl. We watched the game at the Beasley's (where else...I am sure they are glad that football season is over, so they can have their house to themselves on Saturdays :) ), with both Alabama and Auburn fans. The last time we all got together to watch the Iron Bowl (several years ago), the game didn't turn out so great for Bama, so us Bama fans were enjoying the victory! Roll Tide!

Alabama LSU Game

Our last tailgate of the season was a few weeks ago for the LSU game...the game didn't turn out quite like we would have liked it to, but it was still a fun day!
Steven and I made our way over to the Cajun Tailgate first thing that morning to visit our dear friends, Margaret and Jared. Nothing like a big bowl of jambalaya at 10am...and boy was it good!

By the time we got back to our tailgate, Fulton and the rest of the gang had gotten there. Fulton had a great time at his first tailgate and everyone loved seeing him (me especially).

Can't believe there is only one more game left of the season...and it's a big one! Looking forward to the Iron Bowl this weekend! Roll Tide!

Halloween

A few days before Halloween, I had dinner with Fulton and his mommy and daddy. He wanted to show off one of his cute little Halloween outfits. And of course, he looked adorable!

Sunday afternoon, Amy had a pumpkin carving birthday party at her house. I just love carving pumpkins, and this year was no different. We did miss Steven while he was out of town, but Kristen and Fulton did come over for a little while and joined in on the fun.

Everyone working on their pumpkins

The finished products! I carved a witch this year...but check out that mummy...did that not turn out awesome?! Melissa and David did a fabulous job!

One of my co-workers brought this cute cake to work on Monday...how festive is this??

Halloween night, I went over to Fulton's house to see him in his cute little costume, and Harley too

However, Fulton wasn't as crazy about the costume as we were. Right here, I'm pretty sure he is saying, "get this stilly looking thing off me!"
After some pictures, we let him take it off

Family picture on the front porch before all of the trick or treaters arrive...and there were a ton of those little rascals swarming the neighborhood!
It was a successul first Halloween for Fulton! Looking forward to next year!!

Tailgating

Well the season is pretty much half over and this is the first post about football or tailgating.
It seems a certain little fella has taken up some of my time here lately (thus the lack of blogging), but I wouldn't change that for one second. Being an aunt is so much fun!
Onto football and tailgating...
Bama/Penn State game...watching it with the Beasley's...and a few other 30 people or so...

Bama/Arkansas game...end of September
Steven secretly wants an outfit like this
getting ready to celebrate a win over Arkansas
isn't this the cutest cake??
Amy's aunt made this for the tailgate for the Bama/Vandy game
looking forward to another fun tailgate this weekend when the Vols come into town!

The many faces of Fulton

It is so funny to see how quickly his facial expressions change...and some of them are so funny. He might be a tad dramatic...like someone I know :)
One of my favorites...
I think he is done with our little mini photo shoot

Last Friday night...me and my little man...cheering on the Bucs as we were watching them on the computer.

My nephew

Well the day I have been waiting for...to be come an aunt...has finally come!

This past Thursday at 8:34pm, Fulton made his long anticipated arrival!

spending a little time with Kristen in labor & delivery before all the action started

Hanging out in the waiting room....
We pretty much had the waiting room to ourselves. Good thing there was a football game on, because Dad and Steven were entertained for the evening, while we waited...
