Happy Birthday Brook

Happy Birthday to my sweet Brook (yesterday)! I cannot believe she is 11 years old...nor can I believe she will be a teenager in just a few short years...although she already acts like one.

I picked her up from dance yesterday and had this little cake at home for her...which was the second cookie cake of the day!

She is quite excited about her birthday party this weekend!

Beach Trip

With football season right around the corner, Steven and I decided to take a trip to the beach before our Saturdays are consumed with games and such. Other than one day of rain, the weather was great! Of course most kids are back in school so the beach was not crowded and we did not have to wait hours to eat dinner...geez, I must be getting old to say something like that!!

Domino was not up for the picture taking on the balcony, but I was able to snap a quick picture of him before he moved.

The ocean was probably the most calm I have ever seen it, and there were fish everywhere!! Steven had a circle of fish swimming and jumping all around him at one point...it was the craziest thing!

I just realized that Steven has the same shirt on above as my Dad does in the first picture of my parents towards the top. I never even thought about this until I downloaded the pictures. These are however...two different shirts. Had I realized they both had this shirt, I would have suggested they both wear it one night when we went out to eat (I'm sure they would have done it).

Family weekend at the lake

All of the fam...aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc were all at the lake this weekend! It was great to see everyone...especially Amber since she's been in Slovakia the past year.

I didn't take very many pictures this weekend, but seriously lake pics look about the same from one weekend to the next.

feeding the ducks is the highlight of the weekend for Mom. She'll see the ducks from up on the porch and go running down towards the pier (with bread in hand, of course) to see and feed her friends :)

Happy 30th birthday Rebecca!

I helped Rebecca (aka "Horn") kickoff her birthday weekend (really month long) celebration on Friday night at La Paz. Sadly, I was only able to attend Friday's nights festivities, but it was a great time.

Good food...great company...fabulous evening!
