I've been tagged!

Shannon tagged me in the picture game.
The object of the picture tag is to:
1. Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer.
2. Select the 4th picture in the folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag 4 people to do the same.
No cheating (cropping, editing, etc.) Have fun!!!

This picture was taken at Austin's birthday party in April 2006. With me in the picture is, Cheryl (about 2 months before she found out she was pregant with twins) and Austin's Papa.
The birthday party was at Fun Factory and we had a blast!!
I am only tagging three people...

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a great CHRISTmas, our family sure did.
I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family to share this holiday with as well as to celebrate Jesus' birthday!

Not long after I got to Mom & Dad's on Christmas Eve, we heard the sirens, and sure enough, Santa was making his way around the neighborhood.

Christmas Morning...

The boys playing with their toys...
Since it has always been just my sister and I over the years, Dad has enjoyed buying presents for the boys. Below are a few snapshots of everyone playing with Matt and Steven's nerf guns in the front yard.

Happy Birthday Dad

We celebrated Dad's birthday tonight with a dinner at Wing's and then birthday cake (well dirt cake) at my house.

Kristen was admiring some of my bows at my house, so I pulled out the bow maker and you can see the bow that she attempted to make below. I think Kristen (and Matt) enjoyed playing with the pipe cleaners more than making the bows.

Hope you had a great birthday Dad!

Christmas with the Peterson's

This morning, Steven and I left the lake and headed to his parents house so that I could celebrate Christmas with them.
I just had to take a few pictures of the wonderful masterpieces that Steven drew for his parents...a few years ago. I just love that they had them displayed at their house.

Can you guess who this is sitting in Santa's lap?!?

***I did get Steven's permission before I posted the above pictures

Christmas at Mema's

We celebrated Christmas at the lake/farm this weekend with my Mom's side of the family

Kristen and Harley lounging at the lake house

Mema picked up these dogs on the side of the road a few weeks ago. I'm not really sure if Mema had officially decided on a name for the dogs, but when Barry and Susan arrived on Friday, Barry immediately started calling them Harry and Lloyd (since he had just recently watched Dumb & Dumber), so before the weekend was over Mema was calling them Harry and Lloyd as well...it was too funny!

*****Our ornament swap with the girls in the family*****

Since Amber is in Slovakia, Barry was kind enough to sit in for her on the ornament swap. He was so excited with his ornament..I mean Amber's ornament.

Kristen was thrilled that she opened the beautiful bird ornament

Amber has always joked that Mark is Susan's favorite, so when I found these ornaments last year after Christmas, I could not pass them up. I mean, isn't the first born always the favorite child?
I really hated that Amber was not here to see Mom and Susan open these ornaments. I hope she enjoys these pictures.

Rockettes

Steven and I went to see the Rockettes on Friday night and had a great time! Since I have seen them three other times (twice in NYC and once last year in Nashville), I was debating back and forth about buying tickets, even though I REALLY wanted to go.

So Wednesday I get an email from the BJCC about tickets for Friday night show 50% off...SOLD! Now all I have to do is convince Steven to go with me...but he quickly agreed. I mean, you just can't turn down half price tickets to the Rockettes. The show was of course wonderul and Steven even thought it was better than the show we saw last year in Nashville.

Sorry, no pictures from this event...since you really weren't supposed to take pics during the show. However, you can move on over to Kristen's blog and see a few pics from the Saturday afternoon performance that she and Matt attended.

Ornament Swap

Last Thursday night, I had my annual ornament swap...this year it was at Missy's (and Brook) house...thanks so much to Brook for offering to have this at her house.

I didn't do a great job at taking pictures, but here are a few I took.

We had some really great ornaments this year!

Look at Braelyn standing by herself...she's been walking for for a few weeks now!

Me with my sister and mom

Jen, Shannon, Keri, Wendi

The Ladies in Red (of course all Bama fans)...Theresa, Karen, Jen, Kristen, Doretta

A few pictures that we took last weekend at Mom & Dad's...

Poor Domino...didn't really want his picture taken...he wasn't feeling very good that night

Harley always poses well for pictures

Guess Steven or I need to get ourselves a dog, so we fit in with the rest of the family.

Ft Lauderdale

Steven and I along with his parents left last Sunday for Ft Lauderdale. We had a great time shopping, eating, and visiting with Steven's family.
Monday afternoon, we headed over to Bayside in Miami. We had dinner at Lombardi's and then the guys walked over to the arena to watch the Miami Heat Basketball game. The rest of us walked around Bayside a little longer and then went back home.

Tuesday, while the guys went golfing, the girls hit Sawgrass Mall. On our way into the mall, we dropped the kids (all but Carson) at Wannado City. This is the coolest place for kids. Although I did not go into Wanndo City, the kids told me all about it. It is an entertainment park with a small size hospital, bank, fire station, radio station, newspaper, theater, etc for kids to play "grown up" to help them determine what they wanna be they grow up. Very cool place...check out their website.

After shopping and golfing, we went to Dave & Buster's later that day for a night of fun and games.

playing games at D&B's
Wednesday morning, Steven and I took a ride down to the beach. We walked around town and then had lunch at a local restaurant.

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Wednesday night at Amber and Jerry's house.

wouldn't you like to have this pool in your backyard?

Several attempts at a group pic of the kids...
