Christmas at the Lake

Well if you've seen my sister's blog, then you will recognize some of the pictures below as well as the blog title (she's super mom, ya know?). Couldn't really come up with anything more creative than that, so there you go...
Here are pictures from our weekend at the lake celebrating Christmas with my Mom's side of the family....all of the family was able to be there. We've had an addition since our last gathering this past summer and we'll have another by next year...and no, not me...Amber & Patrick :)
This little guy was there to great me when Steven and I got there Friday night
Saturday we just happened to be at the right place at the right time and found that Santa would be at the local bank in Arley...so why not stop and get a picture? It has been a while since I've had my picture taken with him.
Isn't he the cutest?

We can always count on the guys to mess up a picture
Ann made these cute goodies, and they were so yummy!
the madness of opening presents with 19 people!

Thanksgiving Week

The Saturday before Thanksgiving, we boarded a plane headed to sunny South Florida.
The next several days, we had a great time hanging out with Steven's family...
Spending some time on the beach and by the pool, and then dinner by the pool at Jerry's hotel.

Doing a little shopping around town...

Wednesday night was our Thanksgiving meal with all of Steven's family.
We ate dinner out by the pool again...definitely something we don't get to do here in Alabama.

The whole gang in the bottom left picture above...

We flew home on Thanksgiving day, and had a few hours at home to chill before we headed over to sister's house. Steven and I were glad to be able to join them for dinner, even though they had eaten lunch only a few hours before with some friends.

Saturday was the Iron Bowl. We watched the game at the Beasley's (where else...I am sure they are glad that football season is over, so they can have their house to themselves on Saturdays :) ), with both Alabama and Auburn fans. The last time we all got together to watch the Iron Bowl (several years ago), the game didn't turn out so great for Bama, so us Bama fans were enjoying the victory! Roll Tide!
