Carnival Cruise

I know that everyone has been on the edge of their seat waiting to see pictures from the cruise,
so here they are.

Last weekend, Steven and I took a cruise from New Orleans to Cozumel. This was my first cruise (Steven's 4th), and we had a wonderful time!

Checking out our stateroom.

Our first night at dinner

Our first towel creation...

Our steward Wally did an exceptional job keeping our room clean. Each night after dinner, we always had a cute animal sitting on our bed waiting on us.

Paradise Beach

Cozumel

We took a cab to Paradise Beach and hung out here for most of the morning on Saturday. We had a nice relaxing day...then took a cab back into town and stopped by Margaritaville, did some shopping before heading back to the boat.

Cruise continued...

Grabbing a bite to eat at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville

Can you tell Steven is excited about wearing this on his head? He quickly took it off right after I took his picture.

Happy Birthday Doretta!

Yesterday, we had lunch at Cobb Lane to celebrate. I meant to take a few pictures of us at lunch, but I completely forgot. I know, that's totally unlike me to forget to take pictures.

Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Clay & Cocktails

Last night, Margaret and I went to Clay and Cocktails (kind of like Sips n Strokes) to make a wine chiller. We had such a great time...rolling out the clay and adding designs to our chiller. We left our artwork there, so that it can be fired, glazed and fired again. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I chose to do my chiller for a regular sized bottle of wine. After I had finished I hear one of the other girls talking at my table telling another girl that most of the clay shrinks about 12% once it is fired. If that's the case, I'm pretty sure a bottle of wine will not fit into my chiller. Oh well, guess I will have to find another use for it.

I think Margaret is going back next week to make the crawfish plate.

Happy Birthday to two special people...

Happy Birthday Jen!
Friday night we celebrated Jen's birthday at Sumo Japanese Restaurant.

The two of us at her wedding this past December.
Jen and I have been friends since we were in high school. I tried to find some pictures of us way back when to post in honor of her birthday, but since those were the days before digital cameras, I don't have any on my computer. I'll try to find a few good ones and get them scanned, so that I can post them.

Happy Birthday Toots!
Not only did we celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday, but we also celebrated an early birthday for Toots.

Here's Toots showing off her new bag from me and Steven.

Hope you both had a great birthday!

Happy Mother's Day

Today we went to Oxford to Kristen and Matt's house for Mother's Day lunch.
After lunch, we played a few rounds of Whoonu. I've never even heard of this game but it was a lot of fun. You can always count on Kristen for some fun games!

On Saturday we celebrated Mother's Day with Steven's mom in Arab. We road over to Guntersville to visit Lake Guntersville State Park and to see the new lodge that was built. The lodge was absolutely beautiful as well as the view of the lake.

Me, Steven, Steven's parents, Toots and Fred
