Long time, no post

Wow, I cannot believe it has been almost two months since my last post!

To say that I have been busy is quite an understatement. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we loved each and every minute of it. Steven and I enjoyed getting to see all our of friends and family that came to celebrate our special day. A big thanks to everyone to helped make the day possible!

Lots of pictures below of all the wedding festivities! Enjoy!

Bridesmaids Luncheon

Four very dear friends hosted my bridesmaid's luncheon on the Friday morning before the wedding at The Club. It was so nice and just a perfect way to start our "wedding weekend."

about to enjoy a wonderful lunch

Pulling our charms out of the cake

Poor Wendi's ribbon had no charm on the end.
After a little digging in the bottom of the cake, her charm was found.

Practice makes perfect

The rehearsal went great...quick and short. You know...everyone has done this before.

We had the rehearsal dinner at the Hampton Inn just down the street from the church. Cindy and Doretta along with Steven's family did a fabulous job decorating and getting everything ready for us. The room really looked great...Alabama football themed, of course...what else would it be?

Goin' to the chapel...

My day started out early on Saturday morning. Christie, Mere and I arrived at the church around 9:00am to find all the exterior doors to the church locked...mind you it was POURING down rain! After we finally made it inside the church, and get to the bride's room, it was locked too!

We eventually made it in the bride's room where it was Freezing! It actually felt pretty good to me, but everyone else was dying. Thanks to Brook for bringing a stash of blankets with her for everyone to wrap up in. After that, the day was absolutely perfect!

A huge thanks to Missy for doing everyone's hair and to all of my bridesmaids for everything they did for me, so I did not have to worry about anything! They helped make my day very stress free!

Missy attempting to make me beautiful...she had her work cut out for her :)

Me and Mom

A very special moment for me before the wedding...

My dear dear friend, Julie, who could not be at the wedding, surprised me with a visit while we were taking pictures. I was overjoyed seeing her! It meant so much to me for her to come by.

Here comes the bride

These pictures are all courtesy of my friend Doretta. She got some really good pictures before and during the ceremony.

Our wonderful soloist, Amanda. I was not in the chapel by this point, but everyone has gone on and on about what a great job she did (and I have no doubt)...so I am very anxious to see the wedding video.

I think they're ready for me

My uncle performed the ceremony and he did an outstanding job!

So happy!

We probably should have practiced a little more...

I was so pleased with my cake! It was alternating layers of white and strawberry cake. Wish I had gotten more than just a tiny taste of it. Guess I have our first anniversary to look forward to!

Loved Steven's cake too! It was so yummy!

Carson doing a little break dancing with all of the bridesmaids rallied around him cheering him on

I'm not sure Reese understood what was going on here
